藝術家簡歷 Experience：

美國洛杉磯人，UCLA英國文學系畢業，1997年來台從事寫作、作曲，成立火花實驗劇團。用詩、散文、評論、音樂、文學、出版來詮釋複雜的大自然，並企圖回到它的根源，用多種語言交融，意義的合奏，將樹木、山巒、海洋，血肉生猛地呈現出來。
作品曾在Art Current、The Victory Review、 God Is Burning、National Education Radio 、KSER、The Poet’s Weather Report; ew Horizons等雜誌、廣播節目中出版或發表。

Landscapes of mind and form, strained through formal training on: Piano. Distillation of heartache, suffering and raucous joy into Guitar. Voice. String Quartet (Kyugaku—Landscape of the Mind). (Trained with Janice Giteck) Fireflower Arts (with Shih Su Ling) performs currently in Hualien. Worked with late Jazz Composer Rene de Knight (Fifth Dimension). Write original music and adapt other songs. CDs: Five Songs. I Just Got Here. Speak Your Mind (forthcoming) Widespread performance in America. France. Germany. China (Shanghai Television Interview). Song title appropriated for use on rock climbing t-shirts in Yangxuo, China ("Don’t Look Down").

Photography

Art-background bleeds into necessary urge to capture what mind cannot hold in excruciating detail. Modal shifts that relish & reveal & unmask time; Holding the unkeepable (illusion-finding, illusion-making); unmasking part within whole; Respect for the hidden voices both of Atoms and Stars.

這些作品都是我來到台灣東岸後發展出來的，作品本身很容易了解，我用速記的方式呈現這個地方，而且，我用抽象與具象互相重疊、穿透的方式，有力地表現出來。
This work grows out of my contact with the East Coast of Taiwan. It speaks for itself, for this place, and forms a kind of shorthand for how the abstract and the concrete move dynamically, one within and throughout the other.
